El escándalo por las coimas en la Agencia Nacional de Discapacidad (ANDIS) generó indignación en todo el país. Para Eva Serrano, dirigente sindical y presidenta de la ONG La Fortaleza de Evas, estos hechos no son aislados: “Cuando se roba en discapacidad, no se roba dinero: se roba dignidad y se roba vida”.
Serrano sostiene: “Lo que estamos viviendo en la Argentina es el inicio de un Mani Pulite, un destape de negociados que creíamos intocables y que necesitan una respuesta firme de la sociedad”.
¿Qué fue Mani Pulite?
Mani Pulite (“manos limpias”) fue la investigación judicial más grande de la historia italiana. En los años noventa destapó un sistema de sobornos generalizados entre políticos y empresarios, y cambió para siempre el mapa político del país.
“En Italia fueron jueces y fiscales los que empujaron la investigación. En Argentina necesitamos que a ese impulso se sume la fuerza de los trabajadores organizados. El sindicalismo no puede mirar para otro lado”, remarcó Serrano.
El rol del sindicalismo
“La ética sindical no es un eslogan, es práctica cotidiana de auditoría, de denuncia y de compromiso con la comunidad trabajadora”, sostuvo. Y agregó que el control no debe quedarse en las cúpulas, sino extenderse a los delegados y a las bases.
Un llamado a la acción
“La corrupción en discapacidad nos muestra la cara más cruel del sistema. Si los trabajadores no nos organizamos para exigir transparencia, se seguirán robando derechos. Es hora de un sindicalismo que ponga luz donde el poder quiere oscuridad”, concluyó Eva Serrano.
